"Present Yourself with Impact" - Style over Substance 

Brief description of topic:

Ever wonder how some people are listened to and heard, while others' get lost in the noise? Ever wonder why you click with some people and don't with others. The answer has less to do with what you say and more to do with how you say it. People do business with people they like, or at the very least with people they feel are most like them. Learn to identify your communication style, while reading other's styles, which will then allow you to adapt for more effective communication and establishing trust. At the same time, we will discover what makes some presentations well run, while others' miss the mark. Whether a formal PowerPoint or an informal meeting, you will learn how to command the audience's attention and ensure your ideas are clearly communicated.                 

Presentation objectives:

1.  Bring awareness to concept of communication styles and it's potential to impact relationship building and trust.

The Audience will:

    1. Learn their personal communication style,
    2. Learn to identify other's styles,
    3. Learn how to adapt their style to other's,
    4. Bond and establish rapport quicker and easier with far less pressure on themselves and their prospects, clients, employees and centers of influence.

2. Learn what makes a presentation most effective. Whether a formal PowerPoint or an informal meeting, you will learn how to command the audience's attention and ensure your ideas are clearly communicated.

The Audience will:

    • Learn presentation "tips"
    • Learn the power of active listening
    • How to stage more effective meetings.
    • How to be more comfortable in front of an audience

About the Speaker:

Pete Brown brings more than 20 years of sales and general management experience to his position of Principal of the True North Group, LLC, a business advisory firm based in Chesterfield, Missouri. TNG is comprised of entrepreneurial experts in the fields of sales, marketing, human resources, risk and financial management. TNG's goal is to help business leaders achieve their dreams. Pete's specialty is in Sales and Sales Management Training and Organizational Development.

Pete is also President and Owner of Gateway Sales Development, an affiliate of the Sandler Sales Institute.

Brown is a graduate of DePaul University with a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in marketing management. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Pete is a Rotarian and member of Bonhomme Presbyterian Church. He lives in Chesterfield, Missouri with his wife and three daughters.
